We are so excited to let you know that our Neurodiversity Champions Course has been accredited by CPD, and we can run the course and issue a CPD certificate and award 7 CPD hours to delegates on completion of the course.

Our Neurodiversity Champions course, is a comprehensive learning journey designed to build understanding, empathy, and practical action around neurodiversity in the workplace. This course equips you with the knowledge, language, and tools to foster an inclusive, fair, and healthy environment for all colleagues.

Key learning objectives

  • Define and understand neurodiversity and neurodivergence

  • Differentiate neurodivergent, neurotypical, and related concepts

  • Recognize common neurodivergent conditions (e.g., ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, Tourette syndrome, SPD)

  • Appreciate the business and ethical case for neuro-inclusive practices

  • Understand terminology and language, and identify appropriate language when referring to neurodivergent individuals

  • Distinguish between helpful and unhelpful language; practice allyship language and approaches in workplace interactions

  • Recognize preferred language practices (identity-first vs. person-first) and how to respect individual preferences

  • Build knowledge of the legal/policy context (reference to the Equality Act 2010 and protected characteristics; implications for allyship and workplace adjustments)

  • Apply a practical framework for neuro-inclusion and develop a Neurodiversity Action Plan

  • Learn an inclusive environment plan: plan, support, prioritise, communicate

  • Explore workplace adjustments and supports that enable neurodivergent employees to flourish

  • Develop skills to be a Neurodiversity Champion and create personal action plans to advocate for neurodiversity

  • Practice facilitating discussions and activities that promote an inclusive culture

  • Assess and reflect on neurodiversity knowledge through quizzes and discussions

  • Reflect on personal learning and how to apply it in real-work contexts

  • Identify strengths commonly associated with neurodivergent individuals (e.g., focus, pattern recognition, creativity) and the challenges that may require accommodations

CPD accreditation and certificate

  • CPD accreditation: 7 hours of Continuing Professional Development

  • Certification: A CPD certificate is issued upon successful completion of the course

  • The certificate can be used for official records, performance reviews, or continuing education requirements
